Getting ready for Jubilee Craft Activity Day
On Wednesday 4th May 10am-2pm we ran an activity for anyone to create your own Jubilee decorations ready for the Jubilee in June. There was lots of tea and cake served during the activity (other drinks were available too)
We are seeking people with a variety of skills and experience to enrich the board, including (but not exclusively) charity finance and governance, human resources, marketing and fundraising. You do not need to have been a Trustee before.
This is a voluntary role requiring approximately up to 5 hours a month commitment. Meetings are currently held via Zoom. All Trustees will be subject to a DBS check.
For an application form and further details please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Nikki-Dee Haddleton (Chair of Trustees) on 07584 038878.
Art & Craft for Wellbeing
Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund we were able to bring a few people together to create a mosaic tree, that is proudly displayed on the wall that greets people visiting the project. The group really enjoyed the sessions and have taken mosaic kits to complete at home too. Thank you to Rachel of In2Colour Limited for her expertise and guidance to enable the group to create such a lovely piece of artwork .
Bags of Joy 2021
Thanks to Tesco Community Fund we were able to bless 70 children with Bags of Joy through December. Each bag contained art or crafts, books, chocolate and a fleece blanket/throw. Some bags also contained gloves and scarves, kindly knitted by members of the community.
We were delighted to have Jenna join us to help distribute the bags during a very busy food bank session. Jenna is the Community Enabler from Groundworks who administer the Tesco Bags for Life fund.
